I currently use a Canon 40D with a variety of lenses.

6/16/09 River Reflection

The Manse Boat House located on the Concord River near the North Bridge. Both Ralph Waldo Emerson and Nathaniel Hawthorne lived and wrote while staying at the Manse house.

3/3/09 All Aboard.....

....for another month of winter. By the end of the day we had over a foot of snow with a prediction of sub-freezing temperatures for the remainder of the week.

Part of the history and growth of our town was being a stop on the B&M Railroad. A few years back they restored this train and opended new Depot Park which is the entrance to the bike trail which is located over the old tracks.

2/27/09 Center Of Attention.

About a year ago, my mother-in-law passed away. My daughter, catching my wife at a weak moment, said, “Bamma always wanted me to have a little white lap dog”. So within hours, they were driving home with Izzie. Well ,Izzie always wants to be the center of attention both at play and rest. She is very lucky that goldens are very tolerant.

9/29/09 Misty Morning

Cool water and warm air meet beneath the North Bridge in Concord as the autumn leaves awaken.

04/06/09 Glowing Nunchucks

Attended my nephew’s Blackbelt ceremony over the weekend. They closed the ceremony with students demonstrating the use of nunchucks under black lights.

10/2/09 Autumn Stillness

A gray day is brightened by the changing leaves along the Concord River.

3/9/09 Old Man Winter

Old Man Winter is looking tired but is still active in the Northeast. It’s snowing out once again.

2/22/09 Didn’t get out to take any pictures but did play around trying to restore an old picture of my parents. Still have some more work to do on it but it’s at least printable now……

3/1/09 Flying High

With a nice day yesterday, the boys in the neighborhood were out on their boards. This is one of my sons friends going off a jump.

06/27/09 Mind Eraser

This ride is called Mind Eraser for good reason. You have to be out of your mind to go on it in the first place…then with all the flips and turns you come out of it completely out of your mind. That is my son Joey in the front right screaming as he went by….

03/31/09 Witness to the War

The Hartwell Tavern was on the main road, the "Bay Road," running from Boston through western Massachusetts out to Crown Point, N.Y. This was the road that the British troops used on April 19. The soldiers passed by the tavern on their way to Concord, and again on their way back to Boston.
Three of Hartwell's sons were in the Lincoln Minute Man Company (Capt. William Smith's Co.) that fought at the North Bridge and on the battle road on April 19: Samuel (age 33) and John (age 28) were both sergeants, and Isaac (23) was a private.

04/23/09 The Sculpture of Love and Anguish

One of the most moving sculptures I have ever seen located in South Miami.

Kenneth Treister, architect and sculptor, describes - This is my portrayal of the Holocaust ... frozen in a patined bronze. A giant outstretched arm, tattooed with a number from Auschwitz, rises from the earth, the last reach of a dying person. Each visitor has his own interpretation ... some see despair ... some hope ... some the last grasp for life . . . and for some it asks a question to God... "Why?"

Stopped in to see an alligator show. The trainer was talking about when he interviewed for this job he had to be young, fast reflex and low IQ. Well he demonstrated low IQ very well.

One of Shannon’s favorite activities is horseback riding at a local farm. After a long day, she often goes over for a few relaxing moments and visits the horses.

My lilacs in our front yard made me think of this poem by Walt Whitman.

Here are the first three lines:
When lilacs last in the dooryard bloom'd,
And the great star early droop'd in the western sky in the night,
I mourn'd, and yet shall mourn with ever-returning spring.

These ducklings were swimming furiously to keep up with their mom at Walden Pond.
